After hearing all the news about the declining real estate market, we
realized that, as sellers, things might be tough. It would be difficult to
sell a house in 2008. Indeed, even though the market was not favorable to
sellers, Marilou Smith gave us an edge. She carefully researched the
market, helped us set a good price for the house, and did everything
necessary to get the house sold. She hired a stager to present the house in
its best light, and when we left on an extended trip, she showed the house,
and basically took care of the house while we were away! We got a contract
on the house five weeks after we put it on the market, and we closed within
the month. Throughout the process, Marilou communicated effectively (she
spoke to us almost every day, even while we were out of town), paid close
attention to details, and was always very positive. I'm sure the energy and

After we got a contract on the house we were selling, we had at the most a
couple of weeks to locate another house. Since my wife and I are retired,

had generated a list of possible houses for us to look at. She was
tireless: she made appointments for showings, drove us to the houses, and

communication skills, hard work, and dedication made our purchase go
smoothly. As a bonus, she checks up on us even today to make sure we're
